Pull a Lucky Fish Rebirth Guide: What It Costs
What Rebirth does in Pull a Lucky Fish, what it resets, the cash multiplier it grants, and how four Rebirths unlock the Mutation Machine.
What Rebirth actually does
Rebirth is a reset in exchange for a permanent multiplier. You give up progress now and earn more from the same work afterwards. Recorded gameplay shows two things being taken away when you Rebirth: your cash balance and your throw power.
The requirement is not a simple cash total. In recorded sessions the Rebirth panel asks for throw-power upgrades and throw-speed steps, which means part of the cost is re-earned rather than paid. Read the panel in your own server before assuming a cash target from a video still applies.
The cash multiplier Rebirth grants
Rebirth grants a cash multiplier, and the value grows with how far you have progressed. These are the values observed on screen in three separate recorded sessions.
| Session | Requirement shown | Reported multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| ZeqoTV session | Rebirth requirements shown as throw-power upgrades and a throw-speed step | Rebirth reports a 2× cash multiplier |
| BemmyBlox session | "Rebirth 4x cash boost" appears as an upgrade choice | A 4× multiplier is claimed on screen |
| FoltynPlays session | Max Rebirth reached after upgrading the heaviest weight and rod | The player reports 8× cash at that point |
A 2× to 8× range across those sessions is roughly consistent with a multiplier that scales with your total number of Rebirths, but we have not verified a fixed step per Rebirth. Read the number the game shows you after each one instead of planning around a guessed table.
Four Rebirths unlock the Mutation Machine
This is the reason Rebirth matters even if you do not care about the cash multiplier. Both July Trading Update guides independently place the Mutation Machine unlock at four Rebirths, after which the machine appears on the left side of the main lobby.
That makes the fourth Rebirth a genuine milestone rather than another incremental reset. Before it, your only routes to a specific mutation are natural spawns and weather events, and neither lets you choose the outcome. After it, you can apply a chosen mutation by spending the reported 180 Gems on an extraction.
Should you Rebirth immediately or wait?
Rebirth takes your money, so the useful comparison is between the multiplier you gain and the purchase you give up. That is the same payback arithmetic used on the money guide.
- If you are close to a rod or weight that fixes your bottleneck, buy it first. Equipment carries through Rebirth in the sessions we reviewed; cash does not.
- If your island income is already strong and the next upgrade is far away, Rebirth. A permanent multiplier compounds over everything you do afterwards.
- If you are unsure what the reset removes, check first. Recorded gameplay confirms money and throw power are affected. It does not confirm what happens to your Index, so do not assume either way.
What we could not verify
We are explicit about the gaps, because a wrong Rebirth table is worse than no table.
- No fixed cash-multiplier-per-Rebirth table is published by any source we could read.
- The exact throw-power requirement at each Rebirth level is not published.
- Whether Rebirth affects Index progress, mutations already applied, or owned equipment is unconfirmed.
- Whether there is a maximum Rebirth level is unconfirmed. One session reaches what the player calls “max” after heavy upgrading.
Read the live Rebirth panel, confirm the multiplier the game shows you, and treat the numbers here as observations from dated sessions rather than a fixed specification. See the sources page for what each claim is checked against.
Rebirth questions
What does Rebirth do in Pull a Lucky Fish?
Rebirth resets progress in exchange for a permanent cash multiplier. The reset removes your money and resets throw power; recorded gameplay shows the requirement itself being expressed in throw-power upgrades, so you may need to re-earn that power before you can Rebirth again.
How many Rebirths do you need for the Mutation Machine?
Four. Two independent July guides both place the unlock at four Rebirths, after which the machine appears on the left side of the main lobby.
Should I Rebirth as soon as I can?
Rebirth trades your current balance for a permanent multiplier, so the useful question is whether the multiplier repays what you give up. If you are close to affording a rod you need, buying the rod first and Rebirthing afterwards is usually the better order.
Does Rebirth reset my fish or my Index progress?
We have not verified that. Recorded gameplay clearly shows money and throw power being affected and does not show the Index being cleared. Treat any claim that Rebirth resets your collection as unconfirmed.
What is the Rebirth requirement at high levels?
Recorded sessions show the requirement scaling steeply. One recording references a 100,000 throw-power requirement and another shows requirements expressed in throw-power upgrades rather than cash. Read the live Rebirth panel rather than trusting a number from a video.
